Welcome to EspañaSpeak. By using our mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using EspañaSpeak, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

EspañaSpeak is a Spanish language learning application that provides:

• Vocabulary lessons with audio pronunciation
• Grammar exercises, verb conjugation drills, and subjunctive mood practice
• Gender drills (el/la)
• Spanish stories with translations and comprehension quizzes
• Speaking practice with speech recognition
• Writing and dictation exercises with AI feedback
• Conversation practice scenarios
• Listening passages with dictation
• Cultural notes about Spanish traditions
• Progress tracking with streaks, XP, and achievements

The service is available as both a free tier and premium (Pro) subscription.

3. Account Registration

To use EspañaSpeak, you must create an account using your email address or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscriptions & Payments

EspañaSpeak offers the following premium subscription plans:

• Monthly: $2.99/month with a 7-day free trial
• Annual: $24.99/year (save 30%)
• Lifetime: $44.99 one-time payment

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel at any time from the app or by contacting us. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Refunds are handled in accordance with the refund policies of the App Store or Google Play Store through which you made the purchase, or through Stripe for direct purchases.

5. Free Tier Limitations

The free tier includes:

• 1 lesson per day
• 500 vocabulary words
• Limited access to stories, conversations, writing, and listening

Upgrade to Pro for unlimited access to all content and features.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in EspañaSpeak — including but not limited to text, audio, graphics, exercises, stories, and cultural notes — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content
• Use our content for commercial purposes without written permission
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use EspañaSpeak for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated tools to access or scrape our content
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the app

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

EspañaSpeak is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The content will be completely accurate or up-to-date
• You will achieve any particular level of Spanish proficiency

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EspañaSpeak shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of EspañaSpeak after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
